However, her dad has been closer to Burnett. She says that she grew up in her dad’s house with her stepmom and the place and environment there were always better. 

We believe that was for the best because her mom has been served several times in jail. While arriving in The Bachelor, Demi revealed that her mom was serving prison time for bank fraud.
