Davina McCall, full name Davina Lucy Pascale McCall, is an English television presenter and model born in Wimbledon, London, on October 16, 1967.
Between 2000 and 2010, she was the host of Big Brother, which aired on Channel 4. She has also hosted Long Lost Family and This Time Next Year on ITV and The Million Pound Drop, Five Minutes to a Fortune, and The Jump on Channel 4.
She also hosted ITV’s The Biggest Loser (2011–2012), Long Lost Family (2011–present), and This Time Next Year (2016–2019), as well as Channel 4’s Streetmate (1998–2001, 2016), The Million Pound Drop (2010–2015), Five Minutes to a Fortune (2013), and The Jump (2014–2017).
McCall hosted the Sky One dance competition show Got to Dance from 2010 until 2014; she judged on The Masked Singer, an ITV musical competition show, from 2020, and The Masked Dancer, a spin-off of the show from 2021.
In her early twenties, McCall had attempted numerous occupations, including becoming a singer and a model but eventually launched a career in television with a first position presenting for MTV in 1992, after a tough childhood.
After more work on terrestrial channels, she became a household celebrity owing to Big Brother. She continued to work with other hosting vehicles on various channels, such as game programs and talent shows. From 2005 until 2015, she was a regular co-host of the Comic Relief annual telethons.
McCall attended St Catherine’s School in Bramley, Surrey, near Guildford, and Godolphin and Latymer Girls School in Hammersmith, West London. In high school, McCall took nine O levels and two A levels.

Davina McCall Career
McCall began her career as a vocalist; while still in high school, she was a member of the band Lazy Bear; she decided to pursue a professional career as a solo classical artist at the age of 19 and began classical vocal instruction a short time.
McCall gave up singing and obtained a job as a booker at Models 1 on the men’s desk, dissatisfied with her lack of success in the music industry. She later owned a restaurant for two years before working as a cabaret performer in the style of the Moulin Rouge in Paris. She worked as a hostess in nightclubs when she returned to London.
During this time, she also worked as a dancer in the video for Kylie Minogue’s 1991 single “Word Is Out,” She wore a striped sweater and a beret as a tribute to her French origin.
McCall was appointed as a presenter on MTV Europe’s Ray Cokes’ Most Wanted in 1992. She then proceeded to deliver Hitlist UK. She went on to host the late-night game show God’s Gift on ITV in 1995.

McCall participated in the BT Sport Relief challenge ‘Davina – Beyond Breaking Point’ in February 2014, which consisted of seven days of running, swimming, or cycling across the UK to raise money for Sport Relief.
The BBC filmed this challenge as a one-off 60-minute documentary broadcast at 21:00 on BBC One on March 20, 2014. McCall had raised almost £2.2 million for Sport Relief 2014 during the live telethon, it was announced.
