Danny Santulli’s parents who sued the fraternity said Danny Santulli and the rest of his pledge class were each forced to drink a bottle of vodka given to them by their pledge fathers. 

Danny Santulli’s parents sued the University of Missouri’s Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity after Danny Santulli was found in Cardiac arrest inside a car.

The incident took place during the ritual called “Pledge Dad Reveal Night” on October 19, 2021 after 9:00 pm.

The family of Danny Santulli, a former MU student later agreed to settle with seven additional defendants in their Civil lawsuit over Danny Santulli’s injuries from the 2021 fraternity party. Many students who were accused agreed to a settlement.

According to the Santulli family , In a video footage, Danny Santulli was forced to drink an entire bottle of vodka one of the fraternity members is seen using a tube to pour the beer down into Danny Santulli’s mouth while consuming liquor.

Before 11:00 pm the video footage showed Danny Santulli losing his balance and falling backward. 

After that Fraternity members picked him up, took him to another room, and threw him on the sofa. Around 12:42 am Danny Santulli started to slide down and fall off the sofa after which he was not moving.  After a while, a member noticed him on the floor, picked him up, and went back. His face was pale and his lips were blue yet no one called 911.  

After that Fraternity members noticed him and took Danny Santulli to a MU  hospital in One of the fraternity brother’s cars.

Danny Santulli  Health Details 

According to information, Danny Santulli was in Cardiac arrest when he arrived there and also not breathing.

The hospital staff performed CPR on him and restarted his heart but he was still unresponsive.

Danny was not able to communicate and had a significant injury to the brain, Unaware of his surrounding. 

Santulli’s blood pressure level was a near-lethal , 486.  Danny had to spend six weeks in the hospital before being shifted to a rehabilitation center in Colorado.

Santulli finally reunited with his family seven months later in Minnesota. Even after being home, his condition has not changed he Lost his vision, and he is not able to walk or talk.

According to Danny Santulli’s parents, Samuel Gandhi and Alec Wetzier targeted their son and then Left him to pass out on the couch where he stopped breathing momentarily after a night of brutal hazing.

Alec Wetzier has been charged with supplying alcohol to minors but no one else has been criminally charged over the incident. Alec Wetzler is no longer a student but Samuel Gandhi is still enrolled.

Danny Santulli is taken home and is taken care of by his family and his mother who quit her banking job to take care of him full time.

According to information, he would need care for a lifetime, and he would likely not be able to talk and walk again.
